Meet Our New Hires

Heather Diemer - Thursday, August 10, 2017

This summer we have been fortunate to add two very talented people to the Nave Newell family and we are excited to introduce them to you.

Chelsea Bellay – Site Design Engineer

Chelsea joined Nave Newell in May and brings with her 4 years of experience in site design and green stormwater infrastructure. She completed her undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University and received her master’s from Villanova University in Water Resource and Environmental Engineering. Her passion for designing stormwater solutions that that are both eco-friendly and cost-effective is clear and she has the knowledge to prove it! Last year, Chelsea worked on a book with the Delaware Valley Green Building Council called, exceeding intent: A precedent library of exemplary GREEN STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS. We are excited to welcome Chelsea and her innovative design ideas to NN. Originally from Baltimore, MD, she has been in the area for about 7 years and when she’s is not working, she loves to travel (Costa Rica is her favorite destination) and spend time with her husband and two dogs.

Tobias Mueller – Staff Engineer

We couldn’t be more excited to have a former professional soccer player on our team! A 2017 engineering graduate of the Villanova University master’s program, Tobias joined Nave Newell in June.  Born in Germany, Tobi headed to the United States on a soccer scholarship at the University of Delaware where he received his bachelor's degree – after playing soccer one year professionally in Germany. His decision to choose Villanova for grad school was based on the Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership (VUSP) – there’s nothing else like it!  While at Villanova, Tobi’s research included a study of the resiliency of urban stormwater measures – including an infiltration trench failure and the subsequent redesign where he provided recommendations to the Pennsylvania DEP. Working with VUSP has given Tobi a strong foundation in stormwater management, placing him well ahead of most graduates. We are thrilled to have Tobi’s energy and desire to learn in our office. In his free time, he loves to be outside. Whether playing or coaching soccer, swimming or hiking – he stays very active.

Both of our new hires chose Nave Newell for its unique culture - The Nave Newell Way. We are always looking for talented professionals. Get to know the Nave Newell Way and see if you would make a great addition to our team!
