Over the last few months we've added several new members to the Nave Newell family including welcoming James Aiken II, PLS, PE to lead the Survey Department. Jim joined Nave Newell in November and brings over 15 years of experience. As the son of a local surveying company owner, Jim was introduced to the business at an early age. He recently spent several years in sales, but has returned to his true passion of surveying and has quickly become a huge asset to Nave Newell.  When Jim's not in the office, he enjoys CrossFit and spending time with his two daughters. We are excited to have Jim on board - his experience and leadership skills will bring our clients quality assurance in all of their surveying needs. Other recent additions to his department also include:

-    Joseph Coe is a survey crew chief with 18 years of experience in surveying and mapping. Joe brings a depth of survey knowledge and expertise to the department. He has a love of the outdoors and when he's not in the field surveying, Joe enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter. Japan, Iceland and Denmark top his list of favorite places.

-    Kevin Porter is also a survey crew chief with over 12 years of experience in the field. Kevin was introduced to the survey profession while working for a family friend. His love for being outside, the variety of tasks each day and learning about the history of the land led him to make it his career. Kevin passed his Fundamentals test and is currently working toward getting his license as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). In addition to outdoor activities, he enjoys sports, movies and spending time with family.

-   Scott Lee joined Nave Newell as an instrument person with more than 15 years of industry experience as a field and CAD technician. He works closely in the field with both Joe and Kevin. Scott's unique interests include collecting antique cribbage boards, photographing large earth moving vehicles and playing the drums. He has also written 3 zombie apocalypse novels (THE ZOMBIE OFF series).

Joining our Civil Department is Rhiannon Fiala, a Staff Engineer who recently returned home to the area after living in California for several years. She is a Penn State graduate, EIT certified and currently working on gaining experience to sit for her Professional Engineer (PE) license. Rhiannon has a strong desire to learn and she shares that passion with others - making her a great match with our giving back culture. She recently joined Greg Newell on a visit to the Oxford Area School District to talk to students about career opportunities in civil engineering and land development. We are excited that Rhiannon has come back to PA and has picked Nave Newell as her home. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs and watching the Eagles!
