Nave Newell understands that the land development approval process continues to become more complicated. Our clients rely on us to take them from idea to buildable project, while navigating more difficult land sites, increases in regulations, and more-involved communities.

Cambridge Square, City of Cambridge,
Dorchester County, MD

Cambridge SquareThis project proposed the redevelopment of a two block, 7.5-acre area of vacant and derelict property.  Nave Newell proposed a mixed-use development including street frontage retail and commercial use with residential condominiums above and several free-standing luxury townhomes.  Parking was provided within a first floor parking garage and adjoining surface lot. The proposal was intended to provide an anchoring gateway to the City’s revitalized shopping district and proposed street amenities, improved street parking, landscaping and street trees, pedestrian plazas and a village green.

Valley Suburban Center, Valley Township,
Chester County, PA

Valley Suburban CenterNave Newell completed the site planning and design for this 63-acre site that will be developed as a mixed use, retail and residential property.  Once constructed, the site will hold 98 townhouses, 192 apartments, two restaurant pads, two retail pads, and one retail pad with a drive-thru.  The retail space will total 54,000 SF.

Nave Newell has been working with the developer and the Township to design this site to accommodate the multiple uses that it will include.  Parking, vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns have been one of the pressing issues, as well as landscape buffering between the residential portion of the site and the retail section.

In addition, Nave Newell has been responsible for completing the stormwater management and sanitary sewer design, connecting the water service lines and vertical geometry for the roads.  The property is located off of Airport Road and Lincoln Highway (Business RT 30); therefore, coordination with PennDOT and the project team’s traffic consultant has been ongoing.
