A leader who will champion the task of taking our HDS services to the next level. This individual should have experience as a project manager, and technical expertise in 3D laser scanning modeling for planning, design and construction projects within, but not limited to, the Transportation Infrastructure (Rail/Highway/Transit Facilities) and Building sectors. Should also have proven results in directing others to achieve success and a commitment to high standards for both client service and a quality deliverable. A candidate will be more successful in this position if they have a background in surveying, scanning, architecture and/or engineering with knowledge in many of these areas.

Skills needed:

• Strong leader/project management
• Excellent communication skills
• Determining client need, even when they are unsure of their needs
• Understanding of technical needs of client designers
• Creation of accurate existing-conditions records of facilities and assist in the design of repair or alteration work during the course of design process
• Software: Microstation, AutoCAD, Leica Cyclone, Revit, TriForma, Navisworks

Responsibilities include:

• Working with management and existing HDS team to strengthen deliverables
• Meeting and working with clients to educate them on laser scanning capabilities and determine their needs
• Preparing technical and cost proposals
• Assigning, guiding and monitoring technical tasks
• Providing status updates on project progress and quality
• Managing staff in generation of deliverables that may include 2D and 3D CAD models and/or BIM-ready CAD models as required to document existing conditions
• Developing and maintaining QAQC standards and procedures
• Managing projects that contribute to the bottom line

3D Laser Scanning Modeler

Technical expert who processes 3D laser scanning data. This individual will serve as our in-house expert on 3D laser scanning deliverables. The successful candidate will have experience with the software listed. However, if a candidate could demonstrate strong ability in one of the software platforms, we would be willing to train them in the others.

Skills needed:

• Modeling expertise in developing deliverables for clients using multiple industry-standard CADD and BIM software platforms
• Software: Microstation, AutoCAD, Leica Cyclone and CloudWorx, Revit, TriForma, Navisworks

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing deliverables that may include 2D and 3D CAD models of structures and ground surfaces and/or BIM-ready CAD models as required to document existing conditions
• Processing 3D laser scanning data, modeling and transforming 3D laser scanning point clouds to Building Information Modeling (BIM)-ready models for Civil, Structural, Architectural, Interior Design, MEP and Construction clients
