Temple Brith Achim Synagogue needed additional space for religious, educational and banquet services. Working with the Project Architect, Nave Newell helped evaluate if the existing four acre site could accommodate an expansion and renovation project, which would double the size of its facility, or if the current facility should demolished and a new facility constructed in its place.
Nave Newell completed the land surveying and civil engineering services which included parking and driveway improvements, preliminary stormwater management design, and site grading along with Township and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation approvals.

Saint
Peter's Parish owned approximately 90 acres where the existing facilities
have become incapable of serving the needs of their growing Parish. They began an aggressive building expansion program and proposed to build a 1,000-seat church with daily chapel,
school, parish hall and rectory on their property.
Nave Newell coordinated the preparation of a feasibility study which revealed complications with soil conditions and rendered onsite sewage disposal unfeasible. Saint Peter's Parish then began pursuing other options. Ultimately, they reached agreement with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to purchase approximately 45 acres in West Brandywine Township for the purpose of constructing their new parish facilities. The Coatesville Catholic Consolidated Education Schools (CACES) decided to also build their new school on an adjacent lot. The new campus includes a 1,000-seat church, a school (900 student capacity) with a gym and associated recreational fields, a parish hall with banquet facilities, and a rectory. Nave Newell assisted in the site analysis, land planning, utility feasibility studies and negotiations with the Archdiocese on the land transfer. Nave Newell also handled the special exception application required by the township.

Beth Chaim Reform Congregation needed a permanent place for its membership and planned to develop a 6.4 acre parcel in East Whiteland. Nave Newell was selected to obtain the necessary approvals for this two-phased land development project which included a synagogue, off-street parking, sidewalks and stormwater management facilities. Construction of Phase I, a sanctuary, social hall, kitchen, administration office and a conference room/library should be complete in the summer 2007. Phase II, housing classrooms, a chapel and enlarged banquet hall, will begin within 5 years if congregational growth continues as projected.
Approvals procured by Nave Newell to develop the site include Township (land development approval), Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan, NPDES, Sewage Facilities Planning Module, and PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permits.

This
project involved the renovation and expansion of Sacred Heart Church
including additional space
for the parish center and a new gymnasium for their elementary school.

Improvements were made to parking, driveways, entrance/exit-ways, stormwater management, and vehicular circulation. Nave Newell coordinated with the church, the parish community, the Borough of Royersford, and the project architect (Voith & Mactavish) to streamline site and building design efforts, as well as to obtain the necessary permit approvals for the project.
