AIM Academy

Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, PA

Since their move to Whitemarsh Township in 2012, Nave Newell has been helping AIM Academy and their architect, create a campus that meets the needs of students, faculty, and the community.

Initially, we assisted AIM in obtaining zoning relief to allow a new turf field constructed within an existing floodplain and riparian buffer. We prepared a topographic survey of the site and developed sketch plans for site improvements including circulation and parking configurations. Nave Newell assisted the School in analyzing the benefits of an artificial turf field versus a natural turf field and then prepared Grading Permit plans for the construction of artificial turf fields. The plans included stormwater management and drainage improvements along with a parking lot reconfiguration.

Over the years, we have continued to work with AIM leaders and their architect on various additions and improvement projects. One of which included the redevelopment of an existing parking area for a new 23,000 sf gymnasium/community center, which also required zoning relief before proceeding to full site design and land development approvals. Site work involved redesigning the existing parking area and circulation, designing ADA-compliant pedestrian paths, and developing new stormwater conveyance and management systems. AIM celebrated the opening of this new facility on their campus along with their 10th anniversary.
