Woodlynde School

Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, PA

Nave Newell worked with the project team to develop and implement a master plan for the Woodlynde School’s campus in Tredyffrin Township, with the goal of expanding both school and parking facilities. The $10.8M project features a new state-of-the-art student commons, outdoor learning spaces including a terrace, an amphitheater and reading garden; and improved traffic flow and parking. The landscaped parking lot accommodates 70 additional parking spaces and a new car line queue increases the number of cars on Campus Drive during the busy afternoon pick-up time.

Initial work included a boundary and topographic survey of the entire 10.5-acre property. Nave Newell also prepared conceptual design, secured zoning approval and preliminary/final land development from the Township. Coordination was also required with PennDOT for an HOP permit. The project was completed in 2021. Woodlynde School prides itself on transforming lives – this new campus will completely transform the Woodlynde School educational experience. When construction wraps up in 2020, the newly reconfigured grounds will reflect Woodlynde’s standing as one of the nation’s leading college prep schools for children who learn differently.
