Nave Newell recently held its First Annual Mini Golf Challenge and Food Drive in coordination with local nonprofit, Fiorenza’s Food for Friends (F4). F4 provides nonprofit organizations with access to free local sources of food, to distribute to people in their communities who are facing food insecurity.
“F4 is honored and humbled to receive continued support from Nave Newell. Greg and his team consistently give from their hearts and lead by example. The Nave Newell organization is invested in making the community better for all people. Thank you for believing in F4 and helping us work to eradicate hunger one meal at a time.”

To kick-off the competition, employees created teams and set out shopping to collect non-perishable food items. Each team then designed and built a unique mini golf hole using canned and boxed goods and other building materials along with their creativity and teamwork.

Employees were then randomly paired with a co-worker for the putt-putt challenge through all five holes of the mini-golf course.

It was then time for awards and celebration! Teams were judged on creativity, difficulty, and use of food items.
Congratulations to our award winners:
- Lowest team score: Connor Shivetts and John Eckman
- Highest individual score: Tim Brennan
- Best hole design: Joyce’s Angels – Joyce Heisler, Dave Nester, Joe Larkins, Nolan Maier, and Terry Pitts

In the end, the food drive was a huge success!
The company-wide giving back event concluded with a pizza lunch and delivery of the food to the Great Valley Food Cupboard where Director, Carol Claypoole, helps feed 150 local families per week in the Tredyffrin/Easttown and Great Valley areas.
It was a fun break in the daily routine and a chance to collaborate with team members from other departments, while working to – MAKE A DIFFERENCE – one of our 30 Nave Newell Way Fundamentals.
